Common questions
What can ClearFrame remove?+
ClearFrame is designed for logos, timestamps, custom subtitles, and visual overlays on footage you own or are authorized to modify. Quality depends on movement, transparency, background detail, and the selected mask.
Will every result be perfect?+
No. Hidden texture must be reconstructed, and complex motion or detailed backgrounds can expose artifacts. Generate a preview and adjust the mask before full processing.
Can I edit the mask manually?+
Yes. Use Rectangle, Polygon, Brush, and Eraser tools, then adjust expansion and feathering.
Does it work with moving overlays?+
Motion-aware propagation is available only where the tracking path supports it. The current MVP persists a full-video static mask, so moving regions may require manual correction or may not suit the current processing path.
Is audio preserved?+
Compatible audio is preserved where technically possible. Other supported audio may be transcoded to AAC for the final MP4.
Which formats are supported?+
The current allowlist is MP4, MOV, and WebM, subject to codec and metadata validation.
